The colour has a complex, beautiful muted purple hue with a clearly visible orange-pink undertone, and has a pronounced granulation effect due to Ultramarine Blue pigment particles. When stretched wet, Sunset Mist produces painterly transitions from muted purple to deep blue surrounded by a light orange-pink halo, creating the illusion of detail in large washes, disintegrating into a cascade of pigments, creating additional texture with granulating pigment particles. This paint is wonderful in landscape painting, especially sunset scenes or city sketches. You can also use it to solve pictorial problems of backgrounds, abstract fills, and sketches of flower bouquets.
